Dividing Polynomials
** **
For problems 94, 97 and 102 in Section R.4 in the homework, I'm not sure I'm doing it correctly. The following is the instruction of the problems:
Find the quotient and the remainder. check your work by verifying that (Quotient)(Divisor) + Remainder = Dividend
94. 5x^4 - x^2 + x - 2 divided by x^2 + 2
97. 2x^4 - 3x^3 + x + 1 divided by 2x^2 + x + 1
102. 1 - x^2 + x^4 divided by x^2 - x + 1

I have tried to understand the way it has the division work within the section in the chapter. However, to me the steps aren't quite clear. I have tried working out the problems, and am pretty sure they are completely wrong. Is there anyways you can send me a step by step how to solve these problems so I can figure out what I am doing wrong. I think that would help to clarify!

@& This one is next to impossible to explain typewriter notation.
I should be able to make and post a video within the next day or two. Can you email me when you read this, prompting me to do so?
In the meantime you can do an Internet search under 'long division of polynomials'. There are a number of youTube videos on this, as well as a number static example (e.g., through PurpleMath).*@
