Your solution, attempt at solution:

If you are unable to attempt a solution, give a phrase-by-phrase interpretation of the problem along with a statement of what you do or do not understand about it. This response should be given, based on the work you did in completing the assignment, before you look at the given solution.

Question: query introset How do we find the change in pressure due to diameter change given the original velocity of the flow and pipe diameter and final diameter?

Since A1v1=A2v2 v1/v2=A2/A1, and (A2/A1=d2/d1)^2, you can use basic math

properties to say that v1/v2=(d2/d1)^2. You can use this to find the final

velocity of the water. Then using Bernoulli's equation and assuming h is constant,

P1 + (1/2)*’rho*v1^2 = P2 + (1/2)*’rho*v2^2

Then when you plug everything in, you are left with P1 and P2. You can

put them on one side of the equation and everything else on the other side,

and that should be the answer."
