A steel ball rolls down a ramp and collides with a marble, as in the video. The marble is slightly smaller and quite a bit less massive than the ball.

• If they both experience the same force, which will have the greater acceleration?

answer/question/discussion: ->->->->->->->->->->->-> :

If both balls experience the same force, the steel ball will have the greater acceleration because it has a larger mass.

@& Larger masses require more force to accelerate them.*@

• If the forces were exerted during identical time intervals, which would have the greater change in velocity?

answer/question/discussion: ->->->->->->->->->->->-> :

Velocity is the rate of change of position with respect to clock time. The steel ball has a greater mass, which accelerates at a greater rate, therefore it would have a greater velocity as well.
