Orientation Part 2

course Phy 121

May 16th 3:35pm

Task: `q001. The q-a-r process is designed for you to be able to think through your problems. If you are unsure of an answer and can’t find help on your own, you can give a low self-critique and the instructor will see this and be able to help you. Reviewing the homeworks will refresh your memory and help you study for a test.

Task: `q002.

I see a lot of links to courses for VCCS Math/Physics.

Task: `q003.

Annotating responses that you have questions about should have a set of 3 question marks at the beginning and end of the problem area.

Task: `q004.

If I have trouble following any of the instructions, I should use the “Submit Question Form” making sure to structure the question. Include a copy of the problem and what you do and don’t understand about the problem. Include any other relevant information.

Task: `q005.

The Due Dates page is a basic guideline for when we should have our work completed. It is ok to finish assignments ahead of schedule.

Task: `q006.

I understand that our assignments are listed on this page. Some problems are assigned for certain sections of the class (ex. University Physics vs. Principles of Physics). I don’t understand the class notes. ???Are they on the CD’s???

Task: `q007.

I have found and read the syllabus.

Task: `q008.

I have added the Physics 121 page to my favorites.

Task: `q009.

The Blackboard Supervised Study Course is basically a reference to the main site we will be using this term. It has links to all of the important sites and a gradebook where we can check our grades.

Task: `q010.

It has a list of 16 items all out of 100 points. None of them have grades yet because we haven’t had any graded assignments. It has a details button and a due date column. ???Will there be a due date listed once the course progresses???

Yes. Those dates will be specified prior to the beginning of the Summer term.

Task: `q011.

ok

&#I need to see the questions so I can be sure what your answers mean. Most of the time I can tell, but I'm dealing with information that comes in from over 1000 different files, containing a total of about 10 000 questions. While I'm familiar with the content and sequencing of the questions, having written them all, and know what I'm looking for, different students will answer these questions in different ways and I need to be able to relate your answers to the specific wording of each question. When reviewing my responses you will also need to be able to relate your answers and my comments to the specifics of the original document. So it will be important for you to insert your responses into a copy of the original document, according to instructions, without otherwise changing any of the content of the original document. This will ensure you of the best possible feedback on your work. &#

No problem on this particular assignment, but this does become very important later.

I see that you've included the entire document your response to Part 4.
