I have not received a copy of my dvd lectures for mth 271. I requested for the early last week after I contacted the bookstore and they said I would have to go through the instructor the get them. I'm sure the first few weeks of school are a little hectic. I also wanted to know if the DVDs included with my phy starter lab kit are the ones that I need for the lectures as well, or if they are just for the lab portion of the class.

The Physics DVD's cover lecture as well as lab.
It's likely that someone in the bookstore told you incorrectly. Unless I've missed it, they have plenty of 271 DVD's and they have been selling them to other students.
