asst 32 lab

This note is to confirm that I viewed the asst 32 lab on conversion of gravitational or elastic potential energy to angular kinetic energy.

I did note that the paper clip and string provided enough linear force to turn the wheel it was attached to and create angular motion.

Being from a manufacturing background, I want to say that the conversion of linear motion to circular motion and visa-versa has many applications. Such as AC or DC motors driving a linear actuator back and forth.

Very good, and thanks for the comment on the applications. I've got some excellent engineering students who will be transferring into programs at UVA or Virginia Tech next year, and I'll pass on your insights.
