Your solution:
For a linear regression model, you need to calculate the square root of the average of the squared deviations, which according to our lesson we do on a graphing calculator. I am unaware of how to do this.
If you send me the name of your calculator and a copy of these few lines I'll tell you where to look for instructions.
It's worth knowing. However this isn't something you'll need to do on a test.

My calculator is a TI - 83 Plus.
Thank you for your time in showing me this, I am very curiou7s and still learning how to use this thing.
Check the link
http://pages.central.edu/emp/LintonT/ti83/html/linreg/linreg.html
which I found by searching the Web under 'linear regression on TI-83'
The explanation looks very good, and there's a good animation along with it.
You can find other links by doing a similar search, and of course whenever you have time you can search out other features. If there's something you want to use the calculator for, just give me an idea what you're looking for and I should easily be able to find you a good link, along with suggestions for search topics. Doesn't have to be related to what you're doing in your course.
Another suggestion for a search topic relevant to your course: 'graphing functions using TI-83'
