Question: `qproblem 2. Graph and describe

Give basic points and asymptote; y values corresponding to the basic points, ratio of these y values: y = 1200 (2^(.12 t)

)

Your solution:

using t = 0, 1, 2, 3 to find y and make a graph;

I have coordinates(0,1200),(1,1304),(2,1417),(3,1540)

the two basic points are: (0,1200) and (1,1304)

*I still do not understand the ratio concept and how you are finding it*

I need you to please explain the ratio more to me. I have not grasped how to find them, and cannot proceed with this qua`because I don't understand how to go about finding the ratios. Thank-you for your time.

The ratio of a to b is expressed as a : b, or alternatively as the fraction a / b.

So for example the ratio of 1417 to 1304 is 1417 / 1304 = 1.1, approximately.

The y values are 1200, 1304, 1417 and 1540. Their successive ratios are

1304 / 1200, 1417 / 1304 and 1540 / 1417.

You should go ahead and take a minute to calculate these ratios.

The basic points of an exponential graph are the t = -1, t = 0 and t = 1 points. What are the y coordinates of these points, and what are the corresponding ratios?

I expect you'll see what's going on just by answering these questions. If not, send me your best answers and any additional questions.
