Just letting you know I've had a run of bad luck that's really affected the time I had set aside for school work. Please don't think I'm asking for sympathy or extensions on my work, most of my issues wouldn't be so bad if I had backed up my work and could keep up with my things. First, I had been working on asst. 2 and had saved the quesions I had completed on my computer. I took my notebook (paper, no laptop) and printout of assignments 2 and 3 with me to McDonalds (that's where I work while my kids play) and I guess I left it there. When I realized it was gone, I went back but they didn't have it. The next day I had available to work on the assignments, I either lost my wallet or it was stolen and I spent the entire day going bak to all the places I had been and searching my house and just ran out of time. Then my uncle passed away and I had to travel to deleware for the funeral. When I arrived back in town, I discovered my computer has a virus and I can't even pull up anything in my documents or get on line. I'm going to have to wait until pay day before I cn pay to have it fixed and unfortunately with my work schedule and the kids' basketball schedule I can't get to the school library any time soon. My friend has loaned me her laptop until tomorrow evening so I'll be able to start over on assignments 2 and 3, but I don't know if I'll be able to complete them by the deadline tomorrow. I'll be able to put my computer in the shop by the end of this week and should be caught up with the assignments by the next due date. I am usually a very good student and normally have very little drama so hopefully this will be the last time I have to send you this type of message, if nothing else this is definitely a lesson learned. Thanks.

@& I can sympathize. I've run into a few glitches recently (nothing like the run you describe) and know that they can really throw one off the pace.
You don't want to get in the habit of falling behind, as I know you're aware, but there is some flexibility in deadlines and a few days one way or the other isn't a big problem (except near the end of the term; the deadline for grades at the end of the semester is firm).*@
