A steel ball rolls down a ramp and collides with a marble, as in the video. The marble is slightly smaller and quite a bit less massive than the ball.
• If they both experience the same force, which will have the greater acceleration?
answer/question/discussion: ->->->->->->->->->->->-> :
Force equals mass multiplied by acceleration. If two balls experience the same force, the ball with the least mass will have greater acceleration.

• If the forces were exerted during identical time intervals, which would have the greater change in velocity?
answer/question/discussion: ->->->->->->->->->->->-> :
Because the ball with the least mass has the greatest acceleration, it's change in velocity will be greater as well. The change in velocity is equal to the acceleration multiplied by the change in time. Regardless, the ball with the least mass will have a greater change in velocity, as the force will have a greater impact as it is exerted/dispersed more per volume and per mass.
