What is the area of the graph beneath this segment?

62.5cm/sec, the area of the trapezoid measuring 20cm/sec (v0-vf)/2 and 2.5sec (to-tf)/2.

@& Very good reasoning. You are seeing the displacement as the area of the trapezoid.

You did have a couple of errors in the details, though.

The average altitude of the trapezoid is the average of the two altitudes v0 and vf. The average altitude is therefore (v0 + vf) / 2, not (v0 - vf) / 2.

The width of the trapezoid is the change in the clock time, not half the change in the clock time.

Also note that cm / s * s = cm, not cm/s.*@
