As you squeeze the bottle, the system expresses the increase in pressure by compressing the air column and pushing the water towards the capped end of the pressure indicating tube.

I chose to measure the situation in mm because I don't think that the water will move drastically in the pressure indicating tube, so therefore I would like to be able to be most accurate.

Initially I began measuring in mm, but found it too difficult to determine the change to that precision, so I had to go back and measure in centimeters so that I was more confident with my estimations.
