Prof. Smith,
If I am working on a submit work form and need to stop the exercise, is there a way I can save what I have typed on the form? I would like to be able to resume work on the form later, without retyping.
You should be composing your answers in a text editor or word processor, then copying them into the form. If anything goes wrong with your computer, your ISP, etc., you would lose the entire contents of any unsubmitted form. You can't save the work you've put into a form (even if you try to save the webpage, your insertions would not save).
By composing and saving your responses in a separate place, you eliminate this risk; and of course you can then later copy and paste your work into the form.
