Calculus First Content Assignments

These assignments are also listed on your Assignments Page.  They are included here in order to introduce you early to some of the content of your course.

You may if you prefer skip these assignments for now and do them when they occur on your Assignments Page.  You may also do one or two of these, and save the rest for when you encounter them on the Assignments Page.

For Calculus I (Mth 173 and Mth 271):

For Mth 174 and Mth 272:

• open qa #10.  This above qa starts out fairly easy, but by the end will challenge almost everyone who enters a second-semester calculus course.
• If you are entering the course with a solid knowledge of first-semester calculus, you will find the additional open qa assignments below easy and perhaps unnecessary.  They are optional, but if you do not find them easy, then you almost certainly need to work through them carefully.
• Recommended as a review  of the rules of differentiation:  open qa #11 and open qa #12.
• In addition Mth 174 students should consider open qa #13, open qa #14, and open qa #15.
