#$&* course Phy 241 1248pm 8/25/2012 My name is Bryan Turner. I am from Lynchburg, VA, currently residing in Carson, CA. I work for Delta Airlines as a Ramp Operator(the guy with the wands.) I am seeking my Associate's in Mechanical Engineering from Central Virginia Community College. This class along with the other Math classes offered at VHCC online will help fulfill the requirements, and I am expected to have my associates this Fall! I am a former Marine. I served 5 years, right out of high school, two tours in the Persian Gulf, sat of the coast of Somalia for 3 months, flew missions in Iraq. I worked as a Plane Captain/Engine Mechanic on the AV8B Harrier. I was honorable discharged in June 2008. The 2nd and 3rd best decisions I ever made was to join the Marine Corps and then get out! The number 1 best decision was to marry my wife. I am a newly wed of 2 weeks. I am blessed. I am a man of faith, attend bible studies on Wednesday nights and church on Sunday morning. I've been all over the world. The Pyramids, Isreal, Dubai, Spain a few times, Greece, Turkey, Sicily and Belize to name a few. I love travel. I am fascinated with aircraft and theory of flight. I have my A&P license and FCC certificate. I am looking to further my education in engineering so that I can not just work on aircraft, but I can fix them, fly them and design. After my AS in Mechanical Engineering, I want my BS in Physics with Electrical Engineering option, a Master's in Aerospace Engineering and a PHD in Physics. After a long career in aviation, I will retire at 67 and teach Physics for the rest of my days. I look forward to growing old, I embrace wrinkles and grey hair. I love a good wine. I am a true libertarian. And I love watching sports, especially baseball and college basketball. I run pretty regularly, don't eat meat and try to live a healthy and simple life-style. I have plenty of faults, including procrastination and laziness. I don't like to read and have never found interest in video games. I love cartoons and really I'm just a big kid. I have two brothers who I am really close to. Don't know my Dad very well, though in recent years we've become closer. My mom raised us boys and my grandparents spoiled us! I am very much looking forward to succeeding in this class. I thank you for the opportunity to do well. Have a wonderful day!
