I dont get where you found, or knew that (pUq) what for the phrase, ""jack english or chris collects"" in question q3.1.54"

If p stands for 'Jack English' and q for 'Chris collects', then 'Jack English or Chris Collects" is the disjunction of the two statements; I use 'U' interchangeably with 'v' to stand for disjunction, to emphasize the similarity between set union and disjunction.
