Question about Hand Crk Gen

I was having an issue with the output of the hand crank generator. I was not getting any volts across the terminals on the output. Have you seen this issue before with the generators? I figured it might be a bad solder joint so I tried to take it apart but the crank mechinism broke when I did. I have ordered a new one and I expect it to arrive Tues or Wed so I will be able to finish the module 3 labs then.

I haven't heard of this problem. The generators tend to work OK.
However review say that these generators are cheap and delicate, which is why I recommend using them gently.
It appears that "cheap and delicate" goes along with "prone to defects".
