A steel ball rolls down a ramp and collides with a marble, as in the video. The marble is slightly smaller and quite a bit less massive than the ball.

• If they both experience the same force, which will have the greater acceleration?

answer/question/discussion: ->->->->->->->->->->->-> : If they are similar shape and size it would stand to reason that since the equation with Force Mass and Acceleration says F=m*a…a higher mass would divide the force by a larger number thus making acceleration less.

• If the forces were exerted during identical time intervals, which would have the greater change in velocity?

answer/question/discussion: ->->->->->->->->->->->-> : The smaller marble…since the force would be divided by a smaller number thus making the acceleration higher.
