** Your average time interval for 20 time intervals **

I got .2551172

I added the first 20 and divided by 20 to get the average.

** Your general comment to this point **

** Why did you observe only certain time intervals? **

Im not sure. Would it be because of you being consistent? I dont believe the timer is useless but there may be a flaw in how it perceives your click and the time it takes to rate it.

** What did you see when you looked at the differences between time successive time intervals? **

.03125 is repeated 3 times and .015625 is repeated 2 times but it is just .000025 off of .01563 and that number is repeated 4 times

** Your time intervals for 7 complete breaths: **

** Your general comment to this point: **

I am suffering with bronchitis right now and have been for 2 weeks so I would actually enjoy being able to sleep. I have almost forgotten what relaxed breathing is.

** Why did you rarely, if ever, observe that same time interval twice? **

When you relax the interval would be longer. No one takes breaths with the same intervals especially if you are trying to time it. When I worked at the hospital we were told to count respirations while doing something else like pulse so the patient wouldn't know that we were counting.

** Do you think this program is accurate to .1 or .01 ... **

I believe that it is accurate to about .1 second because if you look at my numbers and round the tenths it would be almost the same time between breaths.

** Copy of a few lines of your spreadsheet from the TIMER program. **

about an hour and a half but I had several interruptions

** **

When I was using the timer I hit the wrong button and lost my first set of data for the breaths so I did another one that is why the numbers are different. Also I dont have excel for the spreadsheet on my computer. I have Microsoft and it was not set up like you explained. I dont know if I set it right to be comma-delimited. There were no options like that to choose from. The information just showed up when I hit browse and chose the title.
