course

Kaleena,Physics 201 is one course, which includes a lab. Physics 202 is another course, which also includes a lab, and for which Physics 201 is a prerequisite. Each of these courses lasts for the full summer term.

Most students find it impossible to complete two semesters of physics in a single semester, and this is particularly so for the 10-week Summer term. See the attachment for more about the difficulty of completing two semesters of physics during a single term.

Physics 201 requires a precalculus course or the equivalent as prerequisite. Physics 121 is an easier version of the course, which satisfies the requirements for many but not all programs of study. Physics 231 is a very rigorous course with a year of calculus as prerequisite.

It is possible for a student to complete the first semester of physics early, and if a student desiring to complete two semesters during the summer can make sufficient progress in the first-semester course during A term, it is then possible for me to create a B term course for that student (and others having made similar progress). Again, see the attachment for more details.

Thank you for the information. I do have a few other questions but I feel that these are the most pressing at this time. I believe that I may have been misinformed a little after looking over the information that you sent to me. Let me see if I am now getting this right: the PHY 201-202 course is both physics one and two, with its lab and lasts the full summer term and the PHY 231-232 is a technical physics and also lasts the entire summer term- correct? Also since the PHY 201-202 is one course, you can take it for both session A and session B- correct? If you could please let me know if I am understanding this correctly I would appreciate it. Thank you for your time.
