Probability distribution Q 1

Problem Number 4
If p(x) = k x e^(- .34 x), 0 <= x <= 1, represents a probability distribution, then
What is the value of k?
What is the mean value of x?

I'm having a hard time with this question. Can you help me out with it? Thanks

The integral of the distribution from one value of x to another is the probability of a result lying between those two values of x.
For any probability distribution, the total probability, calculated over all possible values of x, is 1.
k is an unspecified constant. If it has the right value, then the given function will be a probability distribution.
Ponder this a bit, if necessary, but if you don't see what to do within, say, 20 minutes ask again.

The value of k will be between 2 and 3.
