PhET Cannonball MotionBy holding my finger vertically and keeping it in front of the projectile, I can see that the speed of my finger remained constant the whole time. The acceleration in

the horizontal direction would be 0. Velocity would remain constant.

Holding my finger horizontally and keeping it above the projectile, I can see that it slows down as it goes up until it reaches its peak, then it speeds up as it goes

down. Acceleration is negative, or pointing downwards. Velocity would decrease as the projectile moved upwards, and would increase as the projectile moved downwards."
