** Your average time interval for 20 time intervals **

.o78125

It is the mean of the 20 clicks.

You don't explain how you obtained this value for the mean. Please submit a copy of your data and an explanation of how you obtained the mean. I do not believe .078125 (which is indeed one of your time intervals) is the correct value for the mean. Submit your response using the title 'Timer Program: Calculation of the Mean'.

** Your frequency distribution for the 20 time intervals (interval, number of times it was observed) **

.109375, 3

.125, 3

.1484375, 2

** Your general comment to this point **

This is pointless thus far.

** Why did you observe only certain time intervals? **

The timer isn't flawed but it can't be 100% accurate. It is useful for the most part.

** What did you see when you looked at the differences between time successive time intervals? **

It repeats the same time intervals. The timer intervals are repetitive.

** Your time intervals for 7 complete breaths: **

3.554688

3.164063

3.070313

2.648438

2.359375

2.023438

2.3125

2.023438

1.585938

** Your general comment to this point: **

** Why did you rarely, if ever, observe that same time interval twice? **

Because different people have different breathing habits.

** Do you think this program is accurate to .1 or .01 ... **

d.

Reasonable measurement between interavals for accuracy.

** Copy of a few lines of your spreadsheet from the TIMER program. **

2 6.9375 1.9375

You are using the TIMER correctly, but you did not calculate the average time interval correctly. See my note and please respond as indicated.
