Q001. If you are earning money at the rate of 8 dollars / hour and work for 4 hours, how much money do you make during this time? Answer in such a way as to explain your reasoning as fully as possible. A solution to this problem appears several lines below, but enter your own solution before you look at the given solution.Rate = 8 and Time = 4. The amount of money you would make would then be Rate X Time. 8 * 4 = 32.

I would make $32 dollars before tax.

I rate my confidence in this solution a 3.

q002. If you work 12 hours and earn $168, then at what rate, in dollars / hour, were you making money?

168 = total and 12 = Time. Total/Time = Rate. 168/12 = 14. I would be making $14 an hour.

My confidence in this solution is a 3.
