From the pictures, answer the following: •Does the depth seem to be changing at a regular rate, at a faster and faster rate, or at a slower and slower rate?

The depth seems to be changing at a regular rate from these pictures.

• What do you think a graph of depth vs. time would look like?

The graph of the depth vs. clock time would have the water depth as the Y axis and the time on the x-axis. The graph would be curved downward, starting at the top of the Y axis and gradually curving down until it meets the x axis.

• Does the horizontal distance (the distance to the right, ignoring the up and down distance) traveled by the stream increase or decrease as time goes on?

The horizontal distance of the stream decreases as time goes on.

• Does this distance change at an increasing, decreasing or steady rate?

I would say that the distance changes at an increasing rate.

• What do you think a graph of this horizontal distance vs. time would look like?

A graph of this horizontal distance vs. time graph would have the horizontal distance on the Y-axis and the time on the x-axis. The points would start up at the Y-axis and curve gradually downward until it meets the x-axis.

Do your data support or contradict the answers you gave above?

My data contradicts the fact that I said the water depth seemed to be changing at a regular rate, but suppers the idea for the depth vs. time graph.

• Is the depth changing at a regular rate, at a faster and faster rate, or at a slower and slower rate?

From my stimulated data, it shows that the depth is changing at a slower and slower rate.

• What does the graph of depth vs. clock time look like?

The graph of the depth vs. clock time would have the water depth as the Y axis and the time on the x-axis. The graph would be curved downward, starting at the top of the Y axis and gradually curving down until it meets the x axis.
