course Mth 163
June 21, 10:17 pmGive the full statement of the Quadratic Formula.
The Quadratic Formula is ax^2 +bx+ c= 0.
Once you have numbers for a, b, and c, the numbers can be put into the root equation, which will tell you what the roots are. The formula can have zero, one, or two roots. The reason you can have two roots is because you have to solve for + and -, which will provide you with two possible answers. These “roots” that you end up with will let you know where on the graph the x axis is crossed. For example, if you solve the Quadratic Equation and end up with a -5, then the line will cross x at -5.
