Mr. Smith,

Something happened when I was trying to download the timer program and it sent two blank submit forms. Please disregard those.

** Describe what you see on your first 10 clicks **

I see the seond which I click each time on the left and the difference in between click on the right.

** Your average time interval for 20 time intervals **

I got the average as 995.0643. I got that by adding all twenty together and dividing by 20.

The time intervals corresponding to your quick clicks were all < .25 second. So the average time interval is also less than .25 second. There is no time interval close to 995.

** Your general comment to this point **

** Why did you observe only certain time intervals? **

the timer program was probably rounding them up as much as possible.I do not think the timer is what you would say flawed, it's just not as accurate as you might think.

** What did you see when you looked at the differences between time successive time intervals? **

The time interval is closer than the others plus it has a positive interval time to the next.

** Your time intervals for 7 complete breaths: **

1.996094

1.675781

1.921875

2.222656

1.972656

1.8125

2.117188

1.785156

2.03125

** Your general comment to this point: **

** Why did you rarely, if ever, observe that same time interval twice? **

Each time you inhaled it was different, no two was the same.

** Do you think this program is accurate to .1 or .01 ... **

I belive that the timer program can do it within about .0001 sec.

It can do this because it is pretty close to being accurate.

** Copy of a few lines of your spreadsheet from the TIMER program. **

Good, except that he did not correctly average your time intervals.
