** Your average time interval for 20 time intervals **

.93 is my estimate on the averate of the 20 numbers. I rounded the numbers to the nearest tenth, Added them and divided by 20.

Your data do not correspond to 20 quick clicks. 5.41 and 6.04 seconds don't correspond to quick clicks and shouldn't have been included.

** Your general comment to this point **

** Why did you observe only certain time intervals? **

I believe if we were really timing intervals of light flickers, or time between heart beats our clicks on the timer might be more reflective of an accurate frequency. However, because we clicked as fast as we could with infrequent intervals, the results may not be giving the accuracy needed.

** What did you see when you looked at the differences between time successive time intervals? **

These time intervals are measuring a response in a period of time. The negatives are no response the positives are responses.

** Your time intervals for 7 complete breaths: **

2505.938

6.765625

8.421875

9.96875

10.35938

9.953125

5.78125

6.140625

6.765625

7.09375

** Your general comment to this point: **

** Why did you rarely, if ever, observe that same time interval twice? **

I did not expect to observe an exact time interval because I don't think I breathe in the same amount of time during half hour much less five minutes.

** Do you think this program is accurate to .1 or .01 ... **

The TIMER program is capable of determining the time between two events accurately to within about .0001 seconds. Based on what we have used and the level of decimal allocations the program gives to the .0000001 the .0001 accuracy rate seems valid.

** Copy of a few lines of your spreadsheet from the TIMER program. **
