ball down ramp

Your 'ball down ramp' report has been received. Scroll down through the document to see any comments I might have inserted, and my final comment at the end.

** Your general comment **

** Will a steeper ramp give greater or lesser time? **

I think the time down the steepest ramp will be the least amount of time.

** As slopes increases will time intervals increase, decrease or show no pattern? **

Decreasing

The first 5 numbers represent the 5 different clock times it takes for a ball to roll down a ramp approx. 26.8cm from right to left, the last 5 numbers represent the same experiment from left to right.

** Do your results support or fail to support your hypothesis about increasing or decreasing times? **

Supports, comparing the times from both experiments, it supports my hypothesis.

** How do you think ave velocity is related to slope? **

I think that the average velocity increases when the slope of the ramp increases. In order for the ball to cover the same amount of space quicker, that means its average velocity is faster.

** Speculate on why ave velocity changes with slope. **

Gravity

** How could you test your speculations? **
