Sorry that I'm late on turning this in. I messed up and let time get away from me.

Magnet and Cars Proximity on incline: We used the short side of dominoes for increasing the angle, and a ruler for distance.

1 dom incline: 5.3cm

2 dom 4.6 cm

3 dom 4.0 cm

4 dom 3.85 cm

5 dom 3.5 cm

6 dom 3.3 cm Length of ramp 26.2 cm

@&

The thickness of the dominoes is important and should have been measured. The uniformity of the dominoes should have been assessed as well.

Assuming that the gravitational force component parallel to the incline increased linearly with the number of dominoes, the proximity numbers are behaving in about the way we would expect.

Nails:

Approx Vol of Big cluster- pi*3.75^2 * 8 = 353.25 cm^3

Approx vol of small cluster- r=1.65 same formula= 68.42cm^3

The big cluster is about 5 times greater in volume.

Atwood:

starting with 5 clips on one side and 10 on the other

0 moved- .692 s

1 moved- .777 s

2 moved- 1.546s

@&

Was there any other mass on the system?

Was the distance uniform?

Did you measure the distance the clips moved?
