I attempted to take the Math 277 Chapter 9 test with my proctor, yesterday 09/29/2011. I was unable to complete the test due to being unprepared. I feel I got the first two questions correct and I answered them in full. I was unable to even attempt the rest of the questions. This is due to my lack of knowledge of the subject. I have complete only 4 of the 7 assignments that are due before I should take the test. I have been charged for the 45 minutes it took for me to do the two problems, and my proctor is sending the test back to you via postal service.
My question is: May I please retake this test on Wednesday, October 5, 2011? By then I should have the rest of the assignments completed and be more prepared for the test. Thank you for your consideration. Have a great day!

@& I can send your proctor another test. However for your own sake be sure you are prepared before you take the test.
The work you are submitting looks good.
Which edition of the text are you using? *@

I received this email from you, August 17 with the following insert:
TWO MORE TEXTBOOKS:
Multivariable Calculus by Larson, or any of Larson's calculus books that include chapters with titles similar to those listed previously. This is a highly-rated textbook, and is in my opinion better than Stewart's text, though both are widely used and you're about as likely to prefer one as the other. I believe I can get my hands on a copy, so if you want to use this one (especially if you already have it) email me and I'll confirm whether this will be possible.
Multivariable Calculus by Thomas, or any of Larson's calculus books that include chapters with titles similar to those listed previously. This book is in its 12th edition; I learned the course from one of the early editions of the text, which has been around a long time. The disadvantage of that is that I can't judge this one objectively. I do have a copy, so if you have this text you may use it.

THANK YOU!!! As far as the Text I am using, Calculus: Early Transcendental Functions 4th Edition Larson, Hostetler and Edwards. ISBN-13: 978-0-618-60624-5
Have a great day!

@& Email me this information and I'll send you a set of text correspondences.
All other students are using other texts and have their correspondences, which were snet when they started work in their courses.
The books do correspond closely, as indicated in the syllabus, so once you have this information it will be no problem.*@
