In the homework assignment, there is a problem that states: Sketch the graph of the exponential family y=A*2^x for the values A = -3 to 3.
My question is, how does someone sketch a graph without knowing the x or y value in addition to knowing the value of A?
The brief answer is that you plug in various values of x for each function.
For example the A = 2 function is y = 2 * 2^x. Plug in x = -2, -1, 0, 1, 2 and you get a pretty good picture of the function.
