Help with experiment 1b

Brief bottle experiment 1b.

I do not understand how to setup the bottles at the beginning of the experiment. Do I place the caps that are provided in the lab kit, the two caps that are connected with the tubes? Also, do i get the siphon started manually by mouth, suction the water up into the tube then stick it in the empty bottle?

Which lids do I use and how do I start the suction?

The brief bottle experiments are done with the cap that came with your initial materials package. However if you cap off the ends of two of the three tubes coming from one of the other caps you can use that as an alternative, the advantage being that you could use the longest tube.
