Dr. Smith,

I need to know where to find some things (1) First, do the CD's have audio? I am very auditory. I guess that is part of having Central Auditory Processing Disorder! (2) Are you available for questions? In what context? There is nothing better than to hear the interpretation of what is meant by something in the book, which by the way is not very in depth. (3)How do you grade? How strict are you? I am the guy who in 8th grade was accused of cheating because I could do Long Division in my head! Are you strict on Showing work? 4.Where can I find a website that can help me with the steps of the operations I need to know?

I answer all specific questions posed through the question form or other forms. It probably wouldn't be difficult for me to create and post audio files as well; I can't promise this because I'm not sure of our server limitations, but I think it should be feasible.

You need to document your reasoning by explaining your work on tests. This course is more about reasoning than about numbers. I give partial credit for partially correct explanations.

The disks should be helpful once you get the audio working. You can always Google the various topics; if you can't find

Students tend to succeed in this course with just the text, which is very well-written and understandable, the q_a_ and query programs, and the disks. However there are additional materials available from the publisher; see the preface to the book and I'll be glad to check on price and availability of any additional supplement in which you have an interest. However I recommend that you simply begin the assignments, after you have completed the Orientation, and let's see how you're doing.
