Beads with mass 8.8 grams are located at a spacing of 7 cm along a light but strong string. The string is under a tension of 16 Newtons and is along the x axis. At t=0 a certain bead is at y position .0021 meters and is moving in the y direction at -.002901 m/s. The bead to the right is at y position .0018 meters and the bead to the left at y position .0011 meters, what will be the acceleration of the given bead, what will be its approximate velocity .01 seconds later, and approximately how far will it move in this time?

I was looking at problems for test 2 and I was wondering if this question is still omitted if it shows up on our test.

Test2DecibelQuestion

How many times louder is a sound which measures 63 decibels and a sound which measures 36 decibels?

Can you let me know if I am doing this problem correctly?

Using the equation, dB = 10*log(sound change) we must solve for the value(sound change) for each decibel level. Therefore the first equation is, 63 dB = 10*log(sound change) and sound change equals 1,995,262.

The second equation is, 36 dB = 10*log(sound change) where sound change equals 3,981. Then to find out how many times louder the first sound is compared to the second, we simply divide the two. Therefore, 1,995,262 / 3,981 = 501. Therefore sound one at 63 dB is approximately 501 times louder than sound two at 36 dB.
