An automobile rolls 10 meters down a constant incline with slope .05 in 8 seconds, starting from rest. The same automobile requires 5 seconds to roll the same distance down an incline with slope .10, again starting from rest.

At what average rate is the automobile's acceleration changing with respect to the slope of the incline?

answer/question/discussion: ->->->->->->->->->->->-> :

'ds = 10 meters

slope = .05

'dt 8 seconds

v0 = 0 m/s

vf= 20m - 0m/s/8s

Vf= 2.5m/s

a= 'dv/'dt

a= (2.5m/s- 0m/s) / 8s

a=.31m/s^2

'dt = 5s

'ds= 10 m

slope = .10

v0= 0

Vf= 20m - 0m/s /5s

Vf= 4m/s

a= 'dv / 'dt

a= 4m/s /5s

a= .8m/s^2

Acceleration is changing .8m/s^2-.31m/s^2= .49m/s^2

rate changing or slope .10-.05 = .05

acceleration changes with respect to slope

.49/.05 =9.8m/s^2

So this seems consistent with if the slope has increased, then the acceleration increases with the acceleration of gravity

Very well done. No revision is necessary, but you might want to compare your work to the discussion at the link, just to clarify a little of the terminology.
