Question Set 1 Problem 3
** **
The problem reads How far will an object move in 8.186 seconds if it is moving at a constant speed of .000479 meters/second?
The solution then reads 8.712 meters in one second would be 8.712( 7.733) meters in 7.733 seconds, or 67.36 meters.
** **
The question gives the speed at .000479 meters per second for 8.186 seconds. Would this not result in a distance travelled of 0.003921? The question and solutions appear to be mixed up

The statement in the solution is correct, but you are right that the numbers used in the solution don't match those in the problem.
This occurs on a few problems in the problem sets, when the randomizer gets ahold of incorrect numbers.
If you replace the speed with the correct speed, the solution works. In this case it would read
.000479 meters in one second would be .000479( 7.733) meters in 7.733 seconds, or .00392 meters.
