The greater acceleration will be of the steel ball since it was in motion and had more velocity due to being release from the ramp.

With equal forces, the greater mass will experience the lesser change in velocity.

• If the forces were exerted during identical time intervals, which would have the greater change in velocity?

The marble should have greater velocity after impact due to its mass, while the steel ball would have negative velocity due to its mass.
