** How does the system behave and how does it 'feel'? **

When I squeeze the container a little the water in the vertical tube moves up. The water in the air column moves closer to the capped end (right hand side)

The harder I squeeze the higher up the water in the vertical tube will rise; however, it appears that the water in the air column has a limit. The water in the air column doesn’t move past a certain point in the pressure-indicating tube. Maybe because the pressure from the left hand side and the pressure on the right hand side are equalizing.

** Length of the air column in units of your measuring device: **

I was not given a ruler copy; therefore, I will used my ruler. No reduction was accounted for.Sorry.

** Your report of the vertical position of the first mark relative to the water surface of the first mark, the length of the air column in units of your selected measuring device, and the two meniscus positions observed with each of your five trials. **

** Your report of the vertical position of the second mark relative to the water surface of the first mark, the length of the air column in units of your selected measuring device, and the two meniscus positions observed with each of your five trials. **

This time I had to raise the water to the third mark because when I first started by meniscus was above the first point of 15 cm. This time I noticed the more careful I was to squeeze only to the next point, the less amount of rapid pressure was applied and the corresponding reading was higher.

This time I noticed that because I was more consistent the water levels returned almost exactly to the same spot that they began from.
