I am moving out of state and am trying to find a new school with a new proctor for my exams. I have found one at the University of Connecticut; I spoke with the proctor yesterday. He proctors exams on a need basis. There is a room next to his office, but when he proctors he isn't sitting in the room. He takes books/notes from students and then they sit in a room by themselves. Would this set-up be okay for my new proctor/school?

Does the proctor have to be in the room when I take the exams?
As long as the proctor is satisfied that the situation is secure, I believe we'll find it acceptable.
