I was just wondering, on the worksheets you told us to finish, you told us that in one of the graphs Temperature was exponential. If we're graphing temp vs. time what effect does this have on our graph?
If the graph is exponential then it won't have the properties of quadratic functions, which include the following slope behavior:
The average slopes of a quadratic when calculated over a series of equal intervals change by the same amount from one interval to the next. This is not the case for an exponential.
The average slope over any interval centered at a given point will be the same, no matter how long the interval.
