Purpose(s): The Admissions and Financial Aid Committee is charged with advising the Director of Admissions, Records, and Financial Aid concerning general procedures regarding admissions and financial aid. The committee is further charged with hearing appeals of students placed on probation, suspended, or dismissed for academic reasons. The committee makes recommendations regarding the disposition of such appeals to the Vice President of Instruction and Student Services and the President.
Membership: The Admissions and Financial Aid Committee consists of the following:
The committee shall select a chairman from its membership. The Director of Admissions, Records, and Financial Aid shall be permanent secretary of the committee and shall be ineligible for the committee chairmanship.
Meeting Schedule: In order to get this committee organized each year, the Director of Admissions, Records, and Financial Aid shall call its initial meeting as soon as possible after membership has been determined. Subsequent meetings shall be at the call of the chairman.
