Purpose(s): The Administrative Services Committee is charged with the responsibility of advising the Vice President of Financial and Administrative Services on matters relevant to the administrative services of Virginia Highlands Community College. Matters for consideration by this committee may be referred to the committee by the President of the College or by any member of the committee. This committee serves as the Safety Committee for the College.
The Administrative Services Committee is further charged with the responsibility of overseeing the College's efforts to identifying potential safety hazards. Such hazards should be brought to the attention of the Vice President of Financial and Administrative Services for immediate action.
Membership: The Administrative Services Committee shall consist of the following:
The committee shall select a chairman from among its membership. The Vice
President of Financial and
Administrative Services shall be permanent secretary of the committee and shall
be ineligible for the committee chairmanship.
Meeting Schedule: In order to get this committee organized each year, the
Vice President of Financial and Administrative Services shall call its initial
meeting as soon as possible after membership has been determined. Subsequent
meetings shall be at the call of the chairman. A minimum of one meeting
per semester is to be held.
