BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS SUPERVISOR
The Buildings and Grounds Superintendent reports to the Vice President of
Financial and Administrative Services and has responsibilities which include the
following:
1. Maintaining an appropriate level of custodial service, with proper
consideration for cleanliness, safety, and visual effect.
2. Maintaining an appropriate level of grounds keeping services.
3. Providing maintenance services including preventive maintenance and minor
repairs and alterations.
4. Engaging in minor construction projects within the scope of available
resources and where a considerable savings to the College can be realized.
5. Providing physical arrangements for special activities.
6. Maintaining appropriate levels of utilities services and providing periodic
reports on consumption and cost.
7. Supervising the Copy Center and Shipping and Receiving functions for the
College.
8. Participating in institutional effectiveness activities and processes such as
strategic planning, college-wide surveys, and related workshops; and
implementing institutional effectiveness processes related to buildings and
grounds services including the annual departmental planning and evaluation
cycle, using survey results and other institutional data to improve work
processes as determined necessary and appropriate.
9. Fulfilling such other functions as designated by the Vice President of
Financial and Administrative Services.
