VICE PRESIDENT OF INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT
The Vice President of Institutional Advancement is the chief advancement officer of 
the College and is responsible to the President. Specific responsibilities of 
the Vice President of Institutional Advancement include the following:
	- Providing leadership and supervision for the staff in the division 
	including the following areas: marketing and public relations, including the 
	College’s website; institutional effectiveness, assessment, and 
	institutional research; and resource development.
  
	- Participating in the development of policies and programs for the entire 
	College as a member of the President’s administrative staff. 
  
	- Developing and overseeing the College’s institutional effectiveness 
	program, including college-wide strategic planning and 
	divisional/departmental planning and evaluation, program review, student 
	outcomes assessment, and institutional research.
  
	- Identifying state, Federal, and private fund resources compatible with 
	the mission and goals of the institution; supervising the development of 
	grant proposals in consultation with College faculty, staff, and 
	administrators, and developing and implementing an effective grants 
	management system. Providing support for the fund-raising efforts of the 
	VHCC Educational Foundation, Inc. as requested. 
  
	- Developing and implementing college-wide public relations and marketing 
	efforts including all aspects of publicity and publications for internal and 
	external audiences.
  
	- Coordinating the College’s program of legislative relations including 
	serving as liaison with local, state, and Federal elected officials, 
	governmental departments, and the VCCS’s information office.
  
	- Serving as the College’s liaison with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges  (SACSCOC). 
  
	- Serving as the College’s Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity 
	(AA/EEO) Officer.
  
	- Fulfilling all other functions as may be designated by the President.
