Program Director Virginia Highlands Small Business Development Center

The Program Director will possess the technical background and experience needed to assist small businesses in analyzing their problems and needs, as well as the ability to engage various service providers to furnish maximal assistance to small businesses in the VHCC service region. 

The Program Director is responsible for the overall management of the Small Business Development Center, including: program development, counseling services, staff management, professional development, budgeting, records and reports.  The Program Director is responsible for actively marketing the center’s services and promoting and participating in Virginia Small Business Development Center Network and U.S. Small Business Administration programs and projects.       

The center provides high-quality counseling services to existing business owners and managers and would-be entrepreneurs; in conjunction with VHCC Workforce Training & Continuing Education and other co-sponsors, plans and implements seminars and workshops appropriate to the specific needs of small businesses; and serves as a business and economic information focal point for referral to other business service providers.
