VHCC WEBMASTER/WORKFORCE TRAINING &
CONTINUING EDUCATION TRAINER
The Webmaster/Workforce Training & Continuing Education Trainer reports half-time to the
Vice President of Institutional
Advancement and half-time to the Dean of the Workforce Training & Continuing
Education.
This position provides administrative and program support to the College in the
following areas: 1) design, development, and maintenance of College web site
including the Workforce Training & Continuing Education site; 2) technical assistance in design/development of
College-wide and Workforce Training & Continuing Education marketing materials/publications; and 3) design,
development, and delivery of computer applications contract training for
business and industry and VHCC faculty and staff. Specific responsibilities
include the following:
- Updating and maintaining College web site, incorporating a unified image
and user-friendly attributes.
- Providing technical assistance in design/development of College
marketing materials/publications.
- Conducting reviews of regional employers’ computer applications systems,
employees’ current skill levels, and designing custom training for clients
as requested.
- Delivering computer applications instruction to business and industry
employees, plus VHCC faculty and staff.
- Providing technical assistance to Workforce Training & Continuing
Education for design of web page, on-line
survey forms and on-line instruction. Assisting with publication of training
guide, Workforce Training & Continuing Education newsletter and other
Workforce Training & Continuing Education publications.
- Participating in institutional effectiveness activities and processes
including, but not limited to: strategic planning, college-wide surveys, and
related workshops/seminars; and implementing appropriate institutional
effectiveness processes related to the website and Workforce Training &
Continuing Education including, but not limited to, program review, student outcomes
assessment, and annual departmental planning and evaluation cycles, using a
variety of measures and institutional data to improve programs and processes
as determined necessary and appropriate.
- Performing other related duties as assigned by the Vice President of
Institutional Advancement or the Dean of Workforce Training & Continuing
Education.
