I've replied to this message and forwarded
my reply at your last request. This is no problem--only takes seconds to
forward--but I wonder why you aren't getting the replies?

Please acknowledge each by return mail; if you receive all three you need only acknowledge
once. The third will come this afternoon from VHCC.

I wrote
you a response, but I'll be darned if I can find it in my Sent Items, nor has it been
forwarded from my VHCC address, so I must have failed to send it. Sorry.
You should
run Disk 3 by using the appropriate html file in the root folder of the disk. You
shouldn't have to go into the inidual folders, so the numbering of the folders (which had
not evolved into a coherent system back in the ancient days of 9/98) should be invisible
to you. If you can't find the name of the file email me tomorrow and I'll check
(don't have copies of the CDs here).
DERIVE is
on the computers at VHCC. It won't be on your computer. If you can't find a
couple of hours to come to VHCC we can work out something with Excel, but DERIVE is much
more powerful (it does the algebra for you; EXCEL does not). The major parts of
DERIVE are on the TI-92 calculator.
If you
come to the Learning Lab, you will need to restart one of the Windows 3.11 computers
(possibly any of the computers--I can't keep track of what gets changed when on campus) to
get a menu that gives you an option for Math/Physics. From there you get the E:>
prompt and proceed according to instructions.
You did
get my message that you had made the expected 100 on your quiz, didn't you? Or did I
fail to send that one too? I admire you young guys who haven't yet shown the first
signs of senility.
