Apologies for the lateness of the reply.  If you didn't get my email last week you might not know that I was out of town at my daughter's wedding over the weekend.

See notes and please resubmit the indicated problems.

Thanks,

3. any positive #s (that is the only way the graph will be positive) ** y = sin(x) reaches its maximum at x = `pi/2, then decreases to 0 at x = `pi. So it is not increasing for all positive x. Please rethink your answer and resubmit your explanation. **

19. anything less than -2pi and greater than 2pi (it will approach infinity) ** the function has only a finite number of vertical asymptotes, at very specific values of x. What are these values? **

35. graph approaches the x axis before -pi and before pi and after 2pi the trough approaches -2 as its lowest point ** the graph would approach -2 at x = -`pi, wouldn't it? At 2 `pi the graph would go through y = 1. Please redo your description. **

See notes on #11.

11. -30 deg (terminal side is closest to the positive x axis) ** reference angle is 30 deg (reference angle is always positive)
