Assignment 14 

Vectors and the rudiments of the analysis of vectors are introduced for students unfamiliar with these concepts and procedures.  Analysis of forces, work and energy continues.

In this assignment we introduce analysis of vectors.  Many students will already be familiar with vectors, but many will not, so the topic is developed from the beginning.  We continue to develop the analysis of forces and their effects, including work/energy, kinetic energy and potential energy.

The assigned Introductory Problem Set problems develop the concept of a vector and the relationship between its magnitude and direction and its components.

qa problems concern work, energy, potential energy and kinetic energy on an incline.

The 'seed' question analyzes the work required to stretch a rubber band.
